Paint.net, HEX CodesI finally found a good paint program, Paint.net.
A lot of people have told me to use GIMP, [and, I have it on my PC] but I like paint.net because of it's a lot easier to learn than GIMP, and doesn't take hours upon days of studying [on the users part] to get a grasp on how to use it.
and, It's not as stressful on my PC.
I also like the ability to use ether RGB or HEX code when making a color.
Speaking of HEX codes, do any of you have any good ones you wouldn't mind sharing? I'm mainly looking for skin tones at the time, but, any color you would be willing to share be great.
EDIT [6/19/13] I just found out something else I like about Paint.net, you don't have to have line art to color in a pic, the new color overlaps the old color.
It does take some extra editing on the users part, but it's kinda fun.

The Great Console WarSo, the great E3 conference was a big talk in the social media of Twitter and Tumblr. However, the big talk was, of course, Sony vs Microsoft vs Nintendo. Oh, how amazing to watch a debate turn into a total hand to hand combat on which company made the best gaming system. Last year Xbox won the battle announcing a new software called Kinect, which made me want an XBOX not only for playing full body movement but to use it as a NETFLIX player. So this year, it was very surprising to see Microsoft getting murdered by two popular gaming consoles.
Microsoft unveiled their newest system calle XBOX one. This affect not only on playing video games but it also affects on controlling your TV and your system for surround sound with just a sound of your voice. What made it interesting was the enhanced Kinect can read heart rates and played in the dark. However, there was a negative side to the console. ShellWM - Free, Open Source Window Skinning

ShellWM is based on the sourcecode of CustomEyes v0.30 by Didier Abderrahmane. The original CustomEyes site is located here ShellWM is a windows skinning application to be used with a Win32 Shell replacement (like Litestep, geOshell, sharpE, etc.)

The idea comes from blueboxWM - since it will be limited to bluebox only, and since we've always wanted to be able to skin windows with an opensource software... when we found the sources of CustomEyes we immediately started this project: a Windows skin application dedicated to all the win32 shell replacement apps. Free of charge. Open source to be enhanced by anyone, revived by a core development team that's still working hard to make this thingy perfect.

Meanwhile, the project has been released under the GNU GPL v2 and it's sourcecode can be found at the SourceForge CVS: Compliant to the license. The license can be found in the single distribution packs we provide.

Right now it is stand alone, but the goal of the app is to be a plugin for various shells. Eg: you change an ls skin and all the windows match. I don't know if they plan a stand alone version in the end, but I think they would. Man... I can just image the thing with !bang commands now. 8) (Cool)

~sryo: it'sa standalone app intended to skin windows whether you are using explorer or an alternative shell. The idea came from a shell that added an app like this one, but restricted it to that shell only. Allelimo and friends idea is that the various shells will be able to easily create a module or plugin to control ShellWM, allowing you to easily change your window skin no matter what shell you're using, all built into your shell theme/skin.

~evendark: This is very cool! I don't entirely understand why they removed the skinning of dialog boxes, radio buttons and check boxes though.

~e-sushi: well, speed considderations and compatibility problems with ME/XP. That's enough reason for us to take it out in the first place. As soon as we've got a stable release out, we'll sure have a look at every single control and check on the realisation of a re-implementation in a better way than customeyes did. So, I can't promise anything... but they're not gone for good, yet ;) (Wink)
